What we collect
BChat is built to minimize personal data. For accounts we store only your email address and a securely hashed password. For guests we store nothing beyond a temporary server-side session. We never ask for your real name or phone number.
What we do NOT collect
No advertising identifiers, no location data, no contact lists, no social graph. Images you share have location metadata (EXIF) stripped before they are stored.
Chat content
Messages are stored so that active conversations work reliably. Stranger chats are temporary by design. Private conversation content is never displayed in the admin panel; moderators see only report metadata (users, reasons, timestamps), not full chat transcripts, unless required to investigate abuse.
Your controls
You can block any user at any time, which prevents all future interaction. You can end any conversation with one tap. Guest identities expire automatically and are deleted after a short grace period.
Cookies
We use a single HttpOnly session cookie for authentication. It is not used for tracking and never shared with third parties.
